Battis Shirala :

Battis Shirala is situated in Sangali District. Battis Shirala is renowned in India & abroad for it's annual Nag Mahotsav on Nag Panchami day.

During this festival villagers catch hundreds of live snakes & cobras for the worship and set them free next day. The snakes never bite on this day.
Also famous for Gorakhnath fair. The Gorakhnath cave is amidst thick tamarind trees which is frequented by peacocks.
