Sindhudurg
Fort is situated in Sindhudurg District. A huge, invulnerable
and foremost among all the seaforts constructed by Sri Shivaji
Maharaj near Malvan port.
The handprints & footprints
of Sri Shivaji Maharaj have been preserved here. Sri Rajaram
Maharaj built here a temple to perpetuate the memory of great
Shivaji. Sri Shivaji Maharaj made this fort invincible by
constructing several small forts around this fort. Some of
them are Padmagad, Rajkot, Sarjekot, Bharatgad, Bhagwantgad
etc.
